The rooms at Ambassador Motor Inn were so cozy and comfortable. After a long day of trekking, I loved having a seating area to just relax and unwind. The flat-screen TV and kitchenette facilities in the studio were a major bonus. It truly felt like a home away from home.

Personally, I found the fact that this room has no capacity for additional guests a bit limiting. But hey, if you're traveling solo or just with your partner, it won't be a problem for you.

Spacious, well-ventilated rooms. Friendly staff, clean premises. Good location for walking and sightseeing. Great value for money.

The old wall paper in our room was peeling and spoilt the overall look however it was still a lovely clean room

We loved the location of the hotel, it was situated near all the shops in the city centre and only a short 10-minute drive to Mount Maunganui. Everything we needed was close by. The hotel facilities were excellent, the swimming pool was well-maintained and kept clean throughout our stay. The staff were so friendly, and the housekeeping team were fantastic, making sure our room was always clean and tidy. The parking spaces were ample for all guests and provided us with peace of mind.

Ummm... Every time a truck went by, I thought it was an earthquake. Gave me a bit of a fright the first time- till I realised what it was. It was only my room; I asked a friend in one of the downstairs rooms, and she didn't even notice trucks going by.

A good size comfortable unit. We were given an upgrade by the friendly, helpful manager. Took a while to find motel at first and it is a little bit out of town but with a car wasn"t a huge inconvenience

Our Xmas stay was in a convenient location, close to shops and restaurants. the room had a mini-fridge and a microwave, which were useful for storing and heating up snacks. the bed was comfortable and provided a good night's sleep.

The stay was marred by some negative aspects. the noise from neighboring guests made it difficult to sleep and their behavior was not monitored by staff.

It was just right for our needs which was somewhere to stay that was near the TECT Arena. We liked the decor & forgot to ask about the colour the room was painted as we were thinking about it for some redecorating we are doing ourselves. Not every day someone is interested in the colour of a motel. Liked the soaps etc too.

Very poor experience

The only good thing was the view and the pool. The staff didn't seem to care about customer service, which was very disappointing. The room was not cleaned properly, and there was dust everywhere. The bathroom was also not up to standard. The worst part was the bed, which was very uncomfortable. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The staff were rude and unhelpful, and the room was dirty. The only positives were the view and the pool.

The hotel is located close to the harbour and is within walking distance to shops. It is quite convenient to explore Tauranga Central and Mount Maunganui area. The room and bathroom were fairly clean, and some nice toiletries were provided.

The pool area could be maintained better with fewer mosquitoes.
